This exciting visual art contest offers all students (K-12) in Arkansas the chance to display their creativity. The theme “Wildlife of Arkansas” acknowledges the natural beauty of Arkansas, providing the perfect inspiration for students to explore their artistic abilities. The term Wildlife is not limited to animals, but can also include natural areas, wildflowers, landscapes, lakes & streams, etc. This year there will also be a special category highlighting monarch butterfilies and pollinators.
Submissions are professionally judged on creativity, skill and interpretation of the theme, with four (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention) works selected per grade. The winning works become The 2019 Wildlife of Arkansas Student Traveling Exhibit which opens with the Awards Ceremony at the Witt Stephens, Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center (602 President Clinton Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72201-1732) and travels to each AR Game & Fish Nature Center thereafter.
